We have young children of our own and know that for everyone to have a great family holiday there are two important factors. First, the children are happy and safe; and second, parents need to be able to relax and unwind. Our aim is to help you achieve both of these: our comfortable and welcoming cottages and peaceful environment in the countryside are just the start.

• Our superb indoor heated swimming pool measures 5m x 10m and has a constant depth of 4’ 2” and is heated to 30 degrees. Younger children love to play on the semi circular steps, never more than 5m from Mum or Dad. We supply armbands, floats and rings; many children have learned to swim here and with only seven cottages you can often find that you are the only ones using the pool!
  
  
• Our indoor games room is heated and carpeted and is a great hit with children of all ages. It has table tennis, table football, air hockey, giant 4-in-1, and an area especially for the 5’s and under with Wendy House, play table and toys. The only thing that the children HAVE to remember is to let Dad win!
  
  
• Giant Trampoline complete with safety netting – great fun!
  
  
• Grassed play area for football, badmington, netball and any other games.
  
  
• Our family sized cottages all have double or full sized single beds – no bunk beds or sofa beds.
  
  
• Quality wooden cots and stable and safe highchairs.
  
  
• Fully fitted kitchen includes the convenience of dishwasher, washing machine and microwave – we even supply dishwasher tablets, fairy liquid and washing powder.
  
  
• Child friendly tumblers, bowls and plates – a great help at meal times.
  
  
• Some of our family cottages are on one level and the ones with stairs have either stair gates at the top or for use in doorways.
  
  
• Televisions all have digital freeview boxes – important for Ceebies; and, there are DVD players so feel free to bring your children’s, and your own, favourite DVDs or make use of our DVD library.
  
  
• Tumble dryer, centrally located, for your use.
  
  
• Our pet Labradors, Becks and Archie, are always happy to meet you and we are hoping to develop a small collection of animals in 2008. We have started with three friendly Friesian cows, all now enjoying retirement.
  
  
• We are ideally located to get the north or south coast and the many other attractions of Cornwall including endless sandy beaches to enjoy – please see our section on beaches.
  
  
• Parents with older children may wish to get active and there are now so many options, cycling the Camel Trail is a favourite. Please see our Get Active section.
  
  
• If there isn’t enough room in the car for groceries don’t worry. We have linked up with a local company, Food4myholiday, that will deliver direct to your cottage everything you need for your holiday, in particular some of the best local produce. Tesco also deliver.
  
  
• We are only too pleased to advise on the local area from places to go or where to find a family friendly place to eat out with the children – such as King’s Arms, Luxulyan; Pier House Hotel, Charlestown; and, Crown Inn, Lanlivery. Please see our Eating Out & Local Food section.
