Yet we are easy to get to, being only a few minutes from the main A30 dual carriageway, which runs down the spine of Cornwall. Exploring any part of Cornwall from here is simple and convenient.

We are easily accessible by car being only a few minutes off the main A30 – though you wouldn’t know it and you can’t hear it.
St Austell Train and Coach Station is 5 miles from Higher Menadew and Newquay Airport is 25 minutes away.
From the A30 heading west, just after it by-passes Bodmin, take the exit for St Austell on the A391. Follow the A391 as far as Lockengate (about 3/4 mile from the A30). At Lockengate turn left towards Luxulyan. After 3/4 mile turn right at Ebenezer (by Tulip Foods) signposted to St Austell.
After further half mile take the first turning on the right. At the top of the short tarmac lane you will find Higher Menadew Farm Cottages.

St Austell train and bus station is 5 miles from Higher Menadew.
Taxi: To get to us from St Austell Station by taxi we would recommend pre booking A&K Taxis 01726 69698. However, there is a taxi rank at St Austell station.
Car Hire: Beech Motors are located close to the station.

Newquay Airport about 25 minutes from Higher Menadew ... but please really consider making the journey by train it is more of an adventure and much less stressful!

Car Hire: Hire a car from Hertz, Avis or Europcar.
Most guests arrive by car and use that for getting around Cornwall. Those arriving by other means will realistically need to use a hire car or use taxis to get to public transport if planning on travelling any great distance.
