Time to relax and enjoy, indulge and refresh, at you own leisurely
pace. Our comfortable cottages with cosy “snuggle up”
log burners and full central heating provide just that restful
place to unwind. Read the paper or your favourite book, or
take a revitalising swim in our indoor heated swimming pool.
Our short breaks are mainly available in the quieter months
but the winters are mild and spring comes early to the southern coast
of Cornwall due to the warming Gulf Stream. The numerous glorious
gardens of Cornwall are the result, bursting into vivid colour in
the spring.
The crowds may be gone but there is still plenty to do as more and
more attractions are open throughout the winter and spring including
The Eden Project, Tate Gallery, National Maritime Museum, Lost Gardens
of Heligan, and Geevor Tin Mine.
But what never goes away are the picturesque fishing villages and
the magnificent coastline. Enjoy a quiet walk along an empty beach
or watch a storm driven Atlantic, which really is an awesome sight.
Shoppers will enjoy the cobbled streets of Truro, which also has
the Hall for Cornwall theatre.
If you want to eat out, we have a list of recommended pubs and restaurants
in the locality or even try Rick Stein’s. Please see our Out & About section
for details of Cornwall's attractions and Eating Out
From the end of October to Easter, apart from Christmas, New Year
and February half term, we are totally flexible on the day of the
week you arrive and leave and the length of stay.
